Heaton House Farm Wedding Photography

Exclusive Farm Wedding Barn

I’m lucky enough to get to photograph at Heaton House Farm quite often. It forms part of my regular rotation of wedding venues in Cheshire. Its outdoorsy + barn charm sings to me and my photography. The best part about it though; I get on so well with all the staff who work there and this has resulted in me being featured on their recommended suppliers page for some years now.

Planning your special day at Heaton House Farm?

Heaton House is such a beautiful venue which I have photographed so many times. I love returning time and time again so why not drop me message and find out a little more?

Behind the Scenes at Heaton House Farm

Through the magic of a 360 camera, I’m able to capture behind-the-scenes content on my wedding days to show my current and future couples exactly what it would like for them to have me along at their Heaton House Farm wedding day

All of these videos and more are captured in the most subtle way making sure to not disrupt the wedding day at all. I feel the connection between a couple and their photographer is a really important factor hence why I wanted to show this part of my work as well. I’m not like every wedding photographer and showing you these behind-the-scenes videos from Heaton House hopefully helps me to reinforce that statement.

We met adam for the first time at a Heaton House Farm wedding event. We saw his amazing stand and before even speaking to him we knew he was the photographer for us! His photos were incredible and completely captured everything we were looking for. Then we spoke and he immediately made us feel comfortable and he brought our vision to life! From that very first meeting to our wedding day, he was incredible, his communication was great always checking in with us and then as the wedding day approached the communication increased and we had a Zoom meeting where we were able to discuss the photos we wanted and the logistics of the day with Adam, he asked about all our family and friends, learnt all of their names which was so lovely and made them feel even more a part of our day.

On the day, Adam went above and beyond making sure we had the most special and incredible day. He gave us direction which was an absolute godsend, unless you’re a model nobody knows how to pose for that many pictures. He spent the whole day making sure each picture he took would be perfect and my god the results have been incredible!

Adam’s aftercare is the absolute best, he really is the best in the business we genuinely would not recommend anyone else to our friends and family. The whole process, the care and the dedication he gives you are second to none! We are extremely happy with the results and the memories we have all thanks to Adam.

The History of Heaton House Farm

Heaton House Farm, nestled on the border of Cheshire and Staffordshire, boasts a rich history that dates back to 1824. Originally established as a modest farmhouse above Rushton Spencer, it has evolved significantly over the centuries. The farm’s early years saw it under the stewardship of the Tomkinson family, who laid the foundation for its agricultural legacy.

In 1958, Ralph Steele, a descendant of the Tomkinson family, purchased the farm, marking the beginning of a new era. His daughter Eileen married James Eric Heath, and together they expanded the farm’s operations. By the 1990s, Mick and Margaret Heath, along with their daughter Sarah, represented the sixth and seventh generations of the Heath family to manage Heaton Farm.

The transformation of Heaton House Farm into a premier wedding venue began in the late 1990s. The farm’s first foray into hosting events was a charity concert for the Midlands Air Ambulance, which sparked the idea of using the picturesque setting for weddings. In June 1999, Heaton House Farm hosted its first wedding, setting the stage for its future as a sought-after venue.

By 2003, the farm had diversified from dairy farming to focus on weddings and events. The Heath family undertook extensive renovations, converting barns and outhouses into luxurious spaces for celebrations. The Wedding Barn, with its permanent marquee linings and state-of-the-art sound and lighting equipment, became a centrepiece of Heaton Farm’s offerings.

Today, Heaton House Farm continues to thrive as a working farm and a premier wedding venue. Mick still tends to his prize-winning Norstaff herd of pedigree Belgian Blue cows, while Margaret ensures the preservation of the farm’s natural beauty. The farm’s commitment to sustainability and community engagement remains unwavering, making Heaton House Farm a cherished landmark with a legacy of farming, celebration, and family heritage.
