When I was first asked to photograph a wedding at The Colony HQ I was so stoked! I love wedding venues which are used for other things like in this case it’s a Business Hub first and foremost. I just love being creative with my photography when the environment is a little more urban and none designated wedding space.

Through the magic of a 360 camera, I’m able to capture behind-the-scenes content on my wedding days to show my current and future couples exactly what it would like for them to have me along at their Colony HQ wedding day
All of these videos and more are captured in the most subtle way making sure to not disrupt the wedding day at all. I feel the connection between a couple and their photographer is a really important factor hence why I wanted to show this part of my work as well. I’m not like every wedding photographer and showing you these behind-the-scenes videos from The Colony hopefully helps me to reinforce that statement.

The History of The Colony HQ
The Colony in Wilmslow opened its doors in 2015 as a purpose-built high-end business venue and event space. The venue features state-of-the-art facilities, including coworking spaces, serviced offices, meeting rooms, and event spaces, all set within beautifully landscaped gardens.
Before becoming The Colony, the site was primarily open countryside. The transformation into a premier business and event venue was a significant development, aimed at providing a unique blend of professional and personal amenities. The venue’s design and facilities were meticulously planned to create an inspiring space which can lend its hand to several uses.

The Colony HQ wedding venue is known for its luxurious interiors and slick finishes. It is ideal for modern couples who are looking for a more contemporary vibe for their big day.
Set in the rural Cheshire countryside just outside of Wilmslow. There is plenty of space on and off for The Colony HQ weddings. In fact, the venue boasts over 3,000 sq/ft of usable space, making it ideal for larger weddings. That being said, The Colony HQ wedding venue has a number of smaller spaces which are perfect for more intimate weddings too.
The large manicured lawns can comfortably accommodate a marquee or tipi, and the terrace area is perfect for your wedding breakfast and evening reception, with a retractable roof to bring the outside in.
The dedicated onsite team at The Colony HQ wedding venue will work with you to tailor a package that suits your needs, making sure every detail is perfect. From canapés to a full wedding breakfast, and even a DJ or live band, The Colony HQ has got you covered.

My couples are usually super down to earth and are planning a relaxed fun wedding day surrounded by all those people they love. I love a party! So when it comes to weddings I can’t help but get wrapped up in the magic of your day. Getting so stuck in with your wedding allows me to translate so much more feeling into my photographs. At some point, you’ll want a few awesome photographs of the two of you. These photographs will take minutes and not hours so we can get straight back to the party. Oh and those family formal portraits, don’t worry about them, they’ll be zero hassle.
With my super extraverted personality I’ll be one of the most excited guests from the moment I arrive. It won’t take your wedding party long to assume we are lifelong friends.
